This was one of those hikes I did because after finishing a longer hike that day, I still had time to kill before making camp. This hike was a good way to end the day because it didn't have a lot of elevation gain and the scenery was pleasant (also made the hike I was doing the next day a little shorter). The GPS Route posted has a little side trip that is not part of the trail. One of the problems with a trail that follows a road is you get complacent and don't pay attention to when the trail leaves the road, and that's what I did.
