| no partners | | Nothing too exciting for public consumption here. Just wanted to get some photos on the map for future reference. I always forget where I've been and what it looks like.
Hit some areas I had never been to before, including Hart Canyon ... a very scenic spot. Helped an experienced couple from Heber who had a flat tire with custom rims and no sockets that fit the lugnuts. Drove them a ways to get a cell signal to summon help from family. Then visited the Dutch Joe Ranch to see if they could assist, but the place is shut down and locked up, pending sale. The gentleman who owned the truck was part of a family who had lived and worked in the area for a few generations. His dad had helped construct the dam at Chevelon Lake! He had some thoughts on the forest service and fire that would go great in the HAZ forum! It's always nice to talk to people about the history of our state.
I poked around the edges of the Turkey Beaver Wildlife Area, and found a couple of spots that would make for great base camps for exploring this wild area. Hank and Larry ... try this one: 34.431 -111.015029.
Took a nap for a couple hours with no rush to get back to the heat. Called in a wildfire on the way home that had just started. Probably lightning. Never read anything else about it so I assume the FD took care of it pretty quickly. Thanks guys!
