Day 1 - drove to Black Sand Beach, shuttle to the trailhead at Mattole Beach. Hike from Mattole Beach to Punta Gorda Lighthouse and then to Sea Lion Gulch - 6 miles
Day 2 - Seal Lion Gulch to Spanish Flat to Miller Flat - 15 miles
Day 3- Miller Flat to Shelter Cove and Black Sand Beach - 10 miles

When to go - Late May through early October usually has the best weather.
