This is the route I should have done. I went out to Lost Dog Wash TH, first time accessing here. I was mostly scouting this area to see if I could ride my bike here. Seems doable. I was just sort of winging a route. Anyway I went up to were is connects with the old jeep trail, If I knew I was this close to this Taliesen lookout I would have checked it out. I turned around, went to the lost dog lookout, then took Ringtail to Sunrise, then back to lost dog TH. The trails were in great shape.
I did spot a rattlesnake, it was a baby I would say, around a foot long and thin. I took a picture, but the cale is off and it looks bigger. I'm not sure if it was dead or not. It didn't move, and this is also right about where I chose to turn around ;) I walked around it at a distance and from all the other ones I've encountered, they usually are pretty upset and let me know when I am this close. I know it was small and I heard they don't really rattle but this guy didn't move.
