| no partners | | | I have forgotten the details on this one, but I'm pretty sure it went something like this: After visiting the Shakespeare Ghost Town, Lynn and I drove back to the Chiricahua Mountains and camped at Sycamore CG on West Turkey Creek. She wanted to go up to Paint Rock (9375), so we did a loop hike from camp. Up Morse Canyon, over to Paint Rock, then back down via Mormon Canyon. I like this loop. Paint Rock is a worthy side trip off the Crest Trail between Chiricahua and Raspberry Peaks. There is some exposure and a bit of scrambling, but it is very colorful and the views on top are excellent. |
