Time to kick it up a notch but the cloud cover was light so I returned a little early. I ran into Jack Carlson & Steve Bowser about 4 miles in on Peters trail but no other hikers or hunters all day. Only one doe crossed my path this time but the hike was enjoyable. Peters trail is a little overgrown. Just enough brush to deter the casual hikers.

I drank 4 quarts and probably could have used another for the drive home. The traffic in and out of Tortilla flat was light so weekday hikes are good out this wayif you have a day off.
