| no partners | | Every so often I do my usual topo map scouring and research and try to find remote overlooked locations.
The mighty Adeii Eechii Cliffs were just calling to me after seeing the incredible potential they boasted.
I won't go to in detail but sand dunes, incredible geology, hidden springs and even fossilized dinosaur tracks all lie within the area.
I bought my $12 Navajo Nation permit and ventured off on remote seldom used backroads.
There was not even recent tire tracks out there, it was truly one of the most calm and eerily quiet places I have ever been to!
After 17 miles of desolate dirt driving the road began to disappear after crossing a few washes and shelfs and I had to throw it into 4LO as I got into some soft deep sand.
Considering this is definitely not the place you want to be stuck or broken down especially solo so I decided to park and just hike around from there instead of continuing to my target area another 4.8 barren miles away.
I'll keep the rest discreet but this area was the bees knees and some of Arizona's best! |
