| no partners | | Ross, Mary, Darrel and Marlies joined me for my RockHounding up into Mary's Cut... then they rotated up and over into Rebekah's Cut and ascended the South Fork... eventually exiting the gully south of the cut... down into Arrow South. I took my time, gathered 60# of green calcite, then opted to descend Rebekah's Cut to Arrow, checking out the Springs along the way.
Should have been an easy loop, but the overly heavy knapsack provided a solid bit of workout.
Once again, really nice to have the Arrow Canyon trail to enter/exit from the road... we are putting that little trail to heavy use.
Noted that this canyon, combined with the other adjacent cuts, provide over 30 hikes that Mary can walk to from her house. Unlike my 350 hikes I walk to from my house, hers are really close!
So... need to not do these heavy hauls on scheduled easy days! |
