| no partners | | The Thursday Regulars changed scenery from the southern Maztatzals to locations a bit closer to civilization. The LOST trail between the AZT and Superior is being relocated due to the highway construction. It will eventually leave Picketpost Trailhead and go through Arnette Canyon.
About six years ago the ATA placed a kiosk in the parking lot at the Hewitt Station Road crossing. This isn't the connector anymore so the kiosk had to be moved to Picketpost TH. The group spent the morning digging it out and then resetting it. As is evident there near the TH, bedrock is just below the surface. Fortunately, the rock did give way, but it was slow going and took a couple hours to hammer down the required 32 inches before setting the kiosk and pouring the concrete. Lunch at Porters (under new ownership we learned) topped off the day. Thanks to Roger, Richard, Joe, Donovan, Ivo, John and David!
