| no partners | | | I started on the Pyramid Trail, and considered taking Bursera, but instead stayed on Pyramid and headed up the wash towards the Lost Ranch. Then I took the Gila Trail up to the saddle and instead of dropping down to the West on Gila I took the no-name trail that heads to the North. This is my second time on the no-name trail and it has definitely become one of my favorite places on South Mountain. After a steep climb the trail ends up on a very pretty area below and to the South of the National Trail. This trail runs into the Lost Ranch trail, and a took that up to National. From there I followed National to Goat Hill and then returned on Pyramid. It was a warm day, but in the afternoon a breeze picked up and made it nice. |
