| partners | | Chris and Wally let me join them on a hike out of the 100 hikes book. I haven't hiked with Chris in a looong time or on this mountain for a few years. This trail could use some love. One sketchy spot along the creek. It was not doable (safety first) and we had to backtrack and bypass down into the creek. The side trail to the peak looked worse so we skipped it for now. There was water running in the creek along the first mile.Three was also what seemed like a spring crossing the trail a few miles in. The trail is a little rocky with downed trees from time to time. Lots of burnt ones. Be careful going over or around to avoid being covered with soot. Great views! Nice to get a hike in with these gentlemen!
My track seemed high so I took a few 100 aeg off. The hike says 2800 plus one way and I showed we climbed back up 400 from Shannon so that's what I came up with....? |
