| no partners | | Nina, Pat, Wayne, Kay, Mike, and Marilyn joined me for Friday's hike in MMRP. We also saw Bill and Stan at the Trailhead when we started and also on the way back. Bill and Stan did some trail maintenance near the mine. We also saw Jill who had intended to join our hike, but arrived at the trailhead an hour early and ended up hiking on her own.
We did a lollipop - Dixie Mine, Prospector, Bell Pass, Windmill, Coachwhip, and back on Dixie Mine.
The trails we hiked were in good condition, though as mentioned in a past triplog, the trail near the mine has been recently eroded and is somewhat confusing. That said, even before Bill and Stan's efforts, some of the brush had been recently cleared making it easier to at least see the mine entrance.
Wayne and a few of the others saw some deer as we were hiking back on Dixie Mine. Despite showing me where to look, I couldn't spot them.
We saw a number of other trail users, both mountain bikers and other hikers. It was a great day for a hike. |
