Asked a couple diehards to help tackle the worst 4 miles of catclaw in Arizona I know about. Quick responses, as figured, no dice. Threw the offer up on my profile and the Wish List a couple times. To my surprise a triangular headed arthropod with bulging eyes was game.

Game Plan
Drive to within 2.5 miles of Castle Creek Trail and walk the road up due to a narrow ledge @mt98dew and I stopped before in 2013. Didn't make it that far which extended the road walk to 4.75 miles.

Then 1.35 miles on Castle Creek Trail #239 to my beloved Twin Peaks Trail #240. Hoped to tackle 1.8 miles. Did not expect to get to the worst 2.1 miles of catclaw's malicious revenge on mankind.

We cleared 0.7 miles of light catclaw/brush on #239. Plus 0.7 miles of semi wicked catclaw. All said and done we made it 0.2 miles onto lower Twin Peaks Trail. Route Scout called out the stats for mile seven... 4h 17m. After some healing I'll be back, probably alone... lol

Mantis was rock solid, not one whimper.
