Day 2 in Austria we day hiked Hochstadel Peak near Simmerlach. The initial drive up to the alpine hut was a trip in itself where we started hiking. The trail was decent most of the way but steep gaining nearly 3,000 feet in 2.4 miles. Views on top were fantastic and we were able to see the heart of Austrian Alps GrosGlocker the highest point. Long break on top taking in the 360 views before heading back down. At the end we were treated with beer at the alpine hut :D
