| no partners | | One of our close to home exercise hikes. Walked from our house to the Surrey Hills Trailhead and took the Slate Trail to the Menk Trail and did a lollipop loop. Route from trailhead shown in photoset. Saw hints of greening up in Spur Cross. Some more rain would sure be nice. On the way down from the little Menk Hill summit we saw a jackrabbit. We used to see them all the time but they are a rare sight as of late. Dodged five MB's on the way out and made it home before the sun came over the mountain to fry us. |
