| partners | | this hike came about from a comment tibber made on joe's recent triplog
did the circumference loop with john in 2014; have only done picketpost summit since
angela suggested arnett and telegraph canyons, then visiting the rock walls up to the east
got going around 9:15 or so
cool temps, but i could have worn shorts
good color in the canyons and a LOT of water flowing from the storm friday morning
we had a couple dozen creek crossings, it seemed
stayed dry on the first few, then plowed through the water on several others
angela was nice enough to let me use her poles
took our time sight seeing and photo taking
where telegraph canyon opens up, we went off trail to the rock walls that bruce and joe visited
one of them was quite long
took a break up top
nice views of superior, apache leap and picketpost
dropping back down, we checked out an arch near the road
found a way up into it from the west
returned through the canyons, enjoying the flowing water and afternoon light
beers (root for me) and cheetos at the trailhead, thanks to my hiking partner
nice to get out with tibber again - it's been too long
good choice given the sycamore and cottonwood colors, flowing water in the creeks and a beautiful day
