| no partners | | I have been intrigued by the magnificent structures that sit at the base of Superstition Mountain for quite some time so I decided to get up in those areas and see what was there!
I started this little journey 2 months ago and have ventured up into the crevices 4 separate times. I started out at Lost Dutchman State Park and made my way up to Green Boulder. From there, I leave the trail, find a destination and made my way to it. There are some definitive routes I found to certain areas but they only went so far. That is where the bushwacking and excitement really starts!
Each journey I have made up into those areas have brought something new and unique. I am amazed by how many alcoves are hidden up in there, how many enormous boulder jams tried to prevent my desire to go further and how thick and unrelenting some of the brush is! The common, well traveled trails of the Supes are nice but there is so much more to see away from the overpopulated trails! |
