First Water crossings were knee high. The side drainage which is probably dry most of the year was a flowing creek the entire way up. Favorite part of the hike was when we finally got up towards the saddle and away from all the bushwacking and soaked feet. Did not see a real trail once I left the Dutchman all the way up to the Massacre Falls trail. Followed the masses to the falls and soaked in the experience at selfieville. I have never been underneath when it was flowing so much before, it was actually pretty cool. Passed by an open mine on the very lightly used but super flat and easy path back to First Water. May or may not have done some laps before we headed home. |
