I went out on this hike to stretch my legs after a day of rain -- it is not the most exciting hike in the world, but it is close to home and there was hardly anyone on the trail once you get a half-mile or so into the park.

There were quite a few wildflowers blooming, and on the way back I had good views of some snow-capped mountains off to the east.

Compared to the "typical" way of going to Bell Pass from the Gateway TH, this route is a bit longer with a bit more elevation gain.

Wildflowers Observation Moderate
There was quite a few brittlebush in peak bloom throughout the hike. In various places the lupine also looked nice.
