| no partners | | oh my, the Wallace Garden addition is amAZing  ! and I didn't even quite see it all as it's scattered about the Arboretum. https://www.btarboretum.org/wallace-desert-garden I knew this was a big project but it's truly outstanding and all the work that had to go into the logistics of transplanting nearly 9000 plants boggles the mind.
It's a bit of a maze to walk in, around and through on the west side where most of it is located. Once I was done with as much as I had time for, I wanted to get to the bridge that goes to the High Trail as I thot maybe those trees had turned. Along the way I saw 1/2 dozen cardinal pairs galivanting around in the part of BTA that has turned color. I got lucky and got two pretty good shots of a female right in the middle of the Fall colors .
I was lucky also as it wasn't super crowded which surprised me. I posted only a small portion of the pictures I took... of course  , and there were many beautiful pics. If you can't make it out there and want to check it out, drop into the videos for a quick look.
I did take some movies and broke the 30 minutes into three parts. I'm pretty pleased with my phone's capability; the stabilizer is terrific; wish it was that good in my Lumix.

While sitting in Tonto Jr with a nice view of the garden, I had a half turkey sandwich and some cranberry conserve, our last meal together  ; and then it was on to hike Pass Mtn Trail. |

For me, sometimes it's just as much about the journey as the destination.
Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled. |
