| no partners | | I was looking to do a hike in the Supes that wouldn't have masses of people, so I decided to do this one again -- I did it the first time a few weeks ago, between Christmas and New Years.
It was a really nice day to be hiking -- there was some cloud cover early, and it got sunny and breezy toward the end.
When I was there before Tortilla Creek was bone dry. This time there was some water flowing through it, which made the hike more fun, although it was a bit of a challenge in a few places to keep your feet dry.
I got into catclaw a bit more this time than last, mostly on the off-trail segment of the hike up to Music Mountain.
We did not see anyone on the hike until we got within a couple of miles of the TH on the way back. |

Wildflowers Observation Isolated There were a few Gooding's Verbena blooming near Tortilla Creek. |
