had something else in mind for this afternoon but weather forced me to stay close to home. I was dressed in hiking gear and decided to ask Echo, Alexa's cousin, if there was any rain in the forecast. She said, "it's raining now". Well it wasn't raining when I walked upstairs but by gosh, I went downstairs and it had started sprinkling :lol: . Clever girl that Echo. So I waited an hour or so before heading out.

Went clockwise, it was nippy, brisk wind at first, about 1/2 dozen hikers, the guys didn't say hello back.

WATCH: 2.49 miles 128 avg bpm, 143 high. 7% Zone 5, 56% Zone 4 and 37% Zone 3 burning 300 calories. Temp at start 60.7 degrees and 40% humidity (didn't feel that high but I suppose that was because of the breeze).

some barrels and creosote are blooming. some Fiddleneck and those little white flower topped stems I call popcorn flowers. a few Brittlebush. Heh, we gotta take what we can get this year. One good thing, no Stinknet!

Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled.
