| no partners | | I'm in the midwest for the holidays, so I can visit all relatives, young and old.
I wandered around the golf course nearby, and the Lauderdale Lakes shoreline, to get a bit of exercise.
The lake froze over, about a week ago, but temps never got cold enough to thicken up the ice.
Then we had terrific winds a couple days ago (a constant 40 mph, with gusts up to 65 mph).
With that high wind going on, the 'WX Front' pushed the air temps up to 68 degrees, breaking midwest December high temp records.
Suffice it to say, the lake ice disappeared quickly. The air temp is now at 30 degrees, and the migrating Canadian Geese are on the open lake, probably trying to figure out what's going on.
Happy Holidays to all HAZ hikers. |
