| no partners | | Love the open seldom traveled jeep/ quad track. Lots of clusters of flaming ocotillo about so there will be lots of photos of same. Located the item on my TOPO map, a lonely grave in an interesting area. Tried to pet some bulls; but they were not interested. Saw what seemed to be a rock corral and perhaps a more recent rock hearth. Went up on a name peak; more like a hill, great but hazy views. Lots of catclaw and rocks. I had to change at the Jeep because my clothing was all stuck with the vegetation and I was shredded and itchy because I had worn shorts. Cool water and wind on the legs was almost scream worthy.
A little more driving then a short canyon hike in sandals. Some really nice colorful rocks and interesting bedding planes. Lots of small mines in the area; in fact a small adit on top of the hill I went up.
A neat area that has more potential that cannot be seen from any road. I'll be back! |
