Got started at 0445 and Kelly and I headed over towards Lost Mine. The saguaro at the entrance to the wash finally lost its battle against gravity and toppled sometime in the last week. Bummer.

Took our time up Lost Mine with a little side trip along the ridge. Once up on National, there was a slight breeze and clouds mostly blocking the sun—felt pretty decent.

Stop on Goat Hill, then continued east and down Pyramid. Bursera and ocotillo are nice and green. Not many people out this morning. Good to squeeze in another hike with Kelly!
