| no partners | | | I noticed that I had never hiked the Service Road trail near the Fraesfield TH. From that trailhead, I did a loop around Granite Mountain taking Black Hill, Service Road, Dixeleta, Whiskey Bottle, Watershed, Cholla Mt loop, Branding Iron, Granite Mt Loop, Bootlegger, and Black Hill again back to the lot. Weather stayed cooler than the last 2 weeks I was out. it was clear early, but then the clouds floated in and helped out. Along the Granite Mt Loop Trail I could see a monsoon storm to the north. Didn't see any wildlife or anything else of note. Parking lot was pretty empty when I started and when I got back. Saw mostly bikers, a couple hikers and one runner. |
