No hat, no sunglasses but a little chilly for me. I could feel the humidity fairly quickly; I'm sensitive that way  . From the hill below the TH, my usual start point now; I did a counterclockwise half loop plus around the western humps. Quite a few hikers out this afternoon as I was pulling over more often.

Once again, I felt like I was anywhere but in the desert. The grassy areas are filling in even more. I kept waiting to hear someone yell "fore". I sure didn't want to take that many pictures as this hike is for exercise but alas, I found myself reaching for my phone a lot. I need to remember I have my camera as today I saw a bird that I couldn't zoom to quick enough with my phone and later I would see the biggest rabbit I've ever seen over here. I was astonished; it could compete with the largess of the Fiddleneck leaves.

The creosote is still all in bloom along with its white fuzzballs. There were a couple Fiddles blooming as well including a miniature one. I was also surprised to notice several baby creosote along the trail. I can only imagine how all of this will progress over the next month, thus why I took pictures of the smaller flowers-to-be as well. Oh, I did see some London Rocket weeds sprouting up too.

This was a Plan B for Tibberlocks. Quads were sore today for some reason, I suspect from Thursday's Forever Fit class as she did a lot of legs.

Watch: 2:23-3:38PM, 1475-1745 elevation. 126 avg bpm/152 max. 16% Zone 5 max, 46% Zone 4 anaerobic, 34% Zone 3 aerobic burning 468 calories. Temp 64.3 mostly cloudy and 31% humidity (it felt higher)

For me, sometimes it's just as much about the journey as the destination.
Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled.
