| no partners | | Getting it done. Nice canyon system that I pretty much finished the in canyon sidecanyons but need to see more of the sidecanyons from another venue. I was able to camp in a favored spot; as I like to do in canyon country pretty much cowboy camp under ledges and overhangs. Did take a seam sealed Tyvek bivy I modified to make simpler and lighter.
What did I like about this area other than it was pretty, had water, no people, not a speck of trash, no permit needed, camp where I like, no formal TH or parking. Did see some cows, three of them. Other than that a pretty boring hike. No need to come here.
Hanksville was out of the way but went there after to get cell service and get a buffalo burger--expensive but good. On to the day hiking section which also did not have cell service but less isolated. The pics are still in the camera but I will get to them when I get done with cleaning out the Toyota which may take another day. |
