| no partners | | Quick loop today. Super flat, but knew that going in! As a result, lots and lots and lots of bikers! Time to go to the superstition Ridgeline, LOL!
Enjoyed the beautiful views full of saguaros and interesting rock formations. Stopped for a quick snack by the crested saguaro on the coyote canyon trail (which is why my friend wanted to do this hike!). The volunteer at the granite mountain Trailhead mentioned the narrow area of the coyote canyon trail being like a slot canyon, but I think that is a bit of a stretch! Nevertheless, this trail had some some good variety. I have not been on any of these trails before, so it was nice to try something new.
Enjoyed the perfect weather, and had a nice view of some stormy weather off to the northeast.
I see something happened to my route on routescout. It looks like it dropped off for a half mile and then re-engaged. Bummer. It was on airplane mode the entire hike, from start to finish. |
