The original plan was to hike AZT6, but the weather forecast has low temps, wind and 3-7 inches of snow. I opted to stay local and hike the Hawes Pass area, but I forgot about the local marathon that closes half the streets in Mesa the 2nd weekend of Feb. My only option was the AJ horse trails nearby.

started a little later that I had anticipated, and then meandered around the trails until I got over 9 miles for the day. Early on the clouds cleared a bit so I could see some more snow on the Supes and the Flatiron, but then after that the cloud ceiling was pretty low. Finished up after 11am, hiked slower than usual.
