Been a while since the Harem (Dan, Carey, Christina, Yolanda) hit Spur Cross. Surprisingly empty parking lot at 7am. Used my Maricopa County Parks pass to gain entry for the group today. Water in the Cave Creek crossings, but no one got wet. Limestone trail was pretty grown over. Abundant thistle was inflicting death by a thousand ankle cuts and slowed our progress considerably as we stopped constantly to pull the little daggers from our socks. Limestone spring was full. Saw a gila monster not far from the spring. We all had such a great hike!
