| no partners | | The first two miles of trail was in immaculate condition, to include the cutting of new tread along the banks and one of the wider berths I have seen for a trail in the Blue. However, it did not last. The hike along the creek to the confluence was pretty overgrown and littered with deadfall and a significant blow down that nearly turned me around. Hopefully, someone is coming back to continue the trail work. Otherwise, some might find the last half mile not worth the effort. A light flow at the falls, which have become pretty obscured due to plant growth. The South Fork Trail did not look overly promising, but I only glanced at it. I cleared a few spots of lesser deadfall on the hike out, but it’s going to take some work to clear the large blowdown and make that stretch of trail good to the confluence and beyond. |
