With another hot weekend in the forecast, I decided to get out early in the morning during the week again. Even though the high was headed for ~110°+, the morning was still relatively comfortable. I pulled out the flashlight on a few of the rockier stretches early on, and I was 4-5 miles in before the sun really came up and cleared the mountains on the eastern horizon.

The trails were very empty today, which was a nice change from last weekend, though I did cross paths with TBoneKathy along National Trail on the hike out. Once the sun was up, I could see a lot of low smoke across the East Valley, and the smell of smoke was very noticeable for most of the hike back from Dobbins. Otherwise, not much of note...nice sunrise but no interesting wildlife sightings.
