I thought about a long hike but it looked like rain. I got sprinkled on some but a long hike would have been okay. I chose to check out a route over the ridge that Denny and I had toyed with.

Yes, Denny the route is okay. There are two options. Hike over the ridge to the trail north of the saddle or take the ridge up toward peak 3125 and hike down the spur trail. I kinda did both.

I saw an alcove I didn't know about and found a nice hidden poppy field in the Goldfields? Yes, I had to hike up to the alcove and the poppies were around the bend. If the sun was out they would look glorious.

An interesting stroll in the Goldfields. That's as good as it gets for me.
