Think of a triplog as the hub post.
- GPS Routes & Photosets sync to a triplog when the date and name match.
routes → triplogs ← photosets
- triplogs can link to all valid descriptions on site
Currently you have a 2014-10-04 gps route & 2014-10-04 photoset posted to Rock Lake via Ophir Creek Trail.
- if you post a triplog to that listed page name on 2014-10-04 they will sync to your triplog
Okay now they still are not Ophir Creek Trail which is part of Rock Lake via Ophir Creek Trail.
- In your ( not yet posted ) triplog "link" Ophir Creek Trail & everything will sync to Ophir Creek Trail too

breathe
Okay with that in mind consider a popular area such as the Superstition Wilderness. There are about 40 designated "trails". While there are potentially thousands of loop combinations it is most useful to have the designated trails and let people create their own loops.
Hence a "Generic" option when posting ( routes / triplogs / photosets ). Then the generic triplog can be linked to to all valid descriptions
