Short, beginner backpack in the Supes

Post by slightlydope »

Was planning on taking my two boys up on the rim for veterans day weekend but the weather forecast has taken a hard turn to cold. I'm now thinking of a short backpack with them into the Superstitions for a one night campout. I have lots of experience on the rim and in the White Mountains but haven't done much desert backpacking.

Thinking 1.5 to 3 miles in. Water nice but we can carry if it is dry. Have a 6 year old and an 11 year old in tow. Thanks!
