The Four Peaks Trail..Would just like some info on this trai

Post by loserboy_josh »

Hey, I'm thinking about going up and hiking the four peaks trail this weekend. I've taken a look at the post on the main site and it didn't say a whole lot. I would love if someone who has taken this hike to just post just some information on this hike. Maybe how long it took them..things to look out for..and I've also heard that it's difficult..but I've heard it's not that hard..are there rocks you have to rappel down?? Just any information you have on this trail would be extremely helpful. Thanks..

None of the maintained trails require any climbing or bouldering. The Four Peaks Trail is pretty casual to Alder Saddle.

If you had some trips logged it'd be easier to advise on your ability.
You want to hike the Four Peaks Trail to what, where, with, out-n-back or loop what?

From alder saddle down to mills ridge the trail is really overgrown and pretty exposed in some places. I wouldn't plan on doing the length of the trail in one day (even if the mileage looks like a possible day trip). The trail (from pigeon springs or from lone pine) out to the saddle and back would make a nice (but a little long) day hike.

-Joe, I like your new quote!
