Flat Iron

Post by kgmolson »

Just tackled this beast yesterday and needless to say LOVED IT! Wish I would have done this one all winter.

Just wondering if any of you guys attempt this one in the summer or if not, how late in the year do you go?

Amazingly enough you can hike this one year round. In the summer you have to start at 5am. Basically it's a game of beat the sun to the ridge. It's an easy game to win, but one you definitely don't want to lose in August.

Then you can hike Peralta after 4pm and catch the shade there too :D

Best if you're a snake lover, as they know the schedule too.
