I'm not running but I can sure do the two miles and I can cheer with the best of them. Go HAZ!
For me, sometimes it's just as much about the journey as the destination. Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled.
I have walked the 10k for the past 3 years and have done the 8K trail walk for 2 before that... so walking is okay too...my husband is the runner doing the marathon for 3yrs... I have all the hints for parking and so forth...

@Dschur
best place to park?
i read the event info which suggests coming into the park from the north
will probably arrive around 6:30 for a 7:15 start
thanks for any info
That may be a little bit late to come in for the race... We will be coming from the north end and getting there somewhere between 530-600 for the 10k start. And parking along the Idaho road. you have to realize that there are lots of people there for other races. There is parking at the Rodeo grounds with about a .9 mile walk to the start finish line.. if you do the shuttles can be very busy and may make you late for a race start if you get there too late...

I'm not feeling it this year . I will probably park at the rodeo grounds and bus or walk over. I'll have the whitest legs there and a grey shirt with Hikearizona.com on the back. Hey Gecko. I think they let you start lining up by how many minute miles you will be doing. So my guess is you will be lined up a few hundred people in front of me .
