Quickest Route to Four Peaks

Post by RickVincent »

...and I'm not asking for directions to the brewery. Seriously...is the back route from Roosevelt a longer but quicker route due to less off-road travel? I have a hi-profile vehicle, so rough roads wouldn't be an obstable, but for times sake is it just plain faster to take the up and around route from the East.
This is my gym. I have to travel down a bumpy road to get there. There are no treadmillls, no machines, and no personal trainers. I walk..I run..I breathe the fresh air. I can go any time I want, as much as I want and there is no membership fee.

I personally thinks it's quicker to just go up 4Peaks road on the west side, but I've seen others post that it's better the other way. I think if you have a high clearance vehicle and bumpy roads don't bother you, then go the west side.

West road is fastest I just did it this week in a Toyota Camry 05 @ averages speed of 30 mph some times even got over 40. If your a good driver you can drive the 19 miles in under an hour which isnt bad especially if you have some music. The trail is kinda rough. Easy, but rough.

If your anything like me...the roughest road possible in a 4x4, and just because it's fun! : rambo :

I took the road less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."
