Wish you could have been able to drive in further, but the BLM as the dirt road closed. The ridge is visiible from the start of the hike and the route is pretty simple to follow. A nice breeze made for a great trek up this peak. The views were great and it seemed you were in the middle of nowhere until you look south and see the interstate a few miles away. Shared the top with some ladybugs and buzzing bees for almost an hour. Looks like the official register of the BM is gone or never placed in the ground? The red can up there doesn't see many signatures. Just over 20 people in 15 years. This peak reminded me a lot of Harcuvar which means SWEET. On the way back in the wash came across my first gila monster. Such an awesome lizard and sight to see. Got back to the Jeep and enjoyed the drive home as it was still cool out. |
