I wanted to show my friend Amos this area for awhile now, we arrived a little before the shade fell on the wall so we decided to try Submission. I know why they named it this... I thought it was a mid level 10 so I was going to lead it once the draws and the first bolt (requiring a gear placement) was clipped. I tried and tried to pull this roof there were just no good hands, just crimps. I got through the roof with a little help but planned to lead the rest. I was above my last clip about 8 feet and way out right... I was getting so pumped I could hardly hold on My plan was to drop 2 feet to a nice to handed hold to rest. No deal, it didn't work as I had planned I plummeted and swung with a pathetic scream. I learned next time just move up up you may find a rest or you may fall, but you will fall trying to bump down! I attempted to lead the climb again beginning again near the start (I fell far) I couldn't finish on lead, after getting stuck again I finished by TR... until next time!  |

I don't have a computer… Not because I'm against having one. Really just hasn't been a top priority on my gear list.
