| no partners | | I wanted to go to this area to find the climbing areas, but without a partner I decided to climb to the top just to see what was up there. The challenging part of this trip was the Tyrolean traverse across Boulder Creek, especially on the was back. (up hill)
So in the trees at the top, I ran into a nice service trail. This was fun to follow along the top, and I wanted to see where it went but I knew it was getting late so I turned around and headed back. Now, this may be common knowledge but I didn't even think to cairn the trail when I got on. NOTE: CAIRN THE TRAIL if you are off trail hiking and come across a trail that you are going to follow... Lesson learned! I think I found the area I had joined the trail and headed down. I was wrong, I got a funny feeling that I was going the wrong way, even though I could hear the road below. I stopped and went back up tho the top, this was painful but SO necessary! I had descended the wrong side of the peak! I cautiously found the right area and found the cairn I had made when I got to the top, I was so excited I took a picture of it. I only had my pack camera but I took a few pictures while I was out exploring. |

I don't have a computer… Not because I'm against having one. Really just hasn't been a top priority on my gear list.
