An enjoyable hike up the Old Baldy Trail to Wrightson, then back down the Super Trail. It clouded up early again today, and I heard my first thunder while I was still high up on the Super Trail on the east side of Wrightson. I stepped up the pace because I had a long ways to go in the exposed areas up high, before I could reach the "safety" zone below Josephine Saddle. But lucky me, the storms sort of fizzled out and by the time the next ones got close, I was already almost finished. Unlike yesterday, not a drop of rain fell on me. The best part was the cool morning air on the way up and the shade from the clouds on the way down. It's always a gamble with the storms, but today everything was perfect!
