Janelle joined me for a couple days before she set off to do more climbing around the Denver area. We decided to do some kayaking while the rest of the family biked from Dillon to Keystone and back. This was Janelle's first time kayaking and my second. My first time was on the Hudson river in NYC. I was really glad that the water on the Dillon Reservoir was a lot cleaner and more beautiful. We toured around the lake, and since there weren't too many other boats out, went into the "Not Recommended" area on the map. I think only two or three motor boats passed us by, but they were so far away that wake was never an issue. We ended up going into some shallow areas and saw a huge nest and two Ospreys -- very cool! It had started out as a beautiful day, but we got back to the Frisco Marina just as weather was starting to appear. Finished off our great morning by heading up to the Breckenridge Brewery, and introduced my family to their most amazing Vanilla Porter. Excellent end to an excellent day.
