| no partners | | Google Earth showed me that a loop hike could be made up/down Guthrie Peak so today I drove out to give it a try, and it worked out perfectly! Took the service road up to the peak and a Very Rocky old 4x4 road back down. The Black Hills poppy show has died down a bit, but there were still a lot of good patches along this trail. The only problem today though was that it was very cloudy and cold which had all the poppies rolled up and acting shy 
The endless 360 views on top were excellent, the wind for the first time in a week was calm & finding a route to loop this peak made for a day well spent! |
