| no partners | | | Perfect day to hit the trail. Had some other business in Prescott Valley, so decided to try the Peavine. Started about 9:30 a.m. with blue skies and perfect temperature. There was a light breeze. It was an easy hike out and back. Saw a few squirrels and quite a few birds both water and land. Since the fire department training site is near the trail, the Yavapai CC fire training class was doing a warm up run when I started and on the way back you could see them training in the facility. Moderate number of very friendly people on the trail. Didn't try the side trails down to the lake because of some knee issues. Will need to try those another time. |
