Very nice loop hike. While hiking on the Derrick Trail we saw an elk and heard some others. Lots of trail work being done on these trails including re-routes on the Derrick. We crossed paths with the trail crew as they were leaving their camp near Horton Spring. We were lucky in that we were able to enjoy the spring to ourselves, but while we were having our snack large groups were descending on the area. The hike back on Horton was nice but a little to crowded for my liking. Got some great photos :y:
