| partners | | Last year I proposed to Kat on the Parsons Trail, and we thought we were a little late for the peak colors. So we re-visited a little earlier this year, but we were either too early or there was a cold snap that caused a lot of the leaves to drop before changing color.
But hey, it's Sycamore Canyon, and the scenery just doesn't get a lot better no matter what time of year! We went all the way back to the headwater at Parsons Spring, which is frankly a little anti-climactic... It's a pool against a cliff that's shaded and difficult to photograph, and because the water is standing at that spot, there were a lot of bugs!
Next time we go we're determined that we're going to try to hike along the creek as much as we can, since the main trail takes you away from the water in several locations. |
