| no partners | | This was my first foray into the Superstitions. Never been here before. Wasn't a hiker per se except on a casual basis. A co-worker liked to hike so I dragged her along on this adventure. It's been a decade so I don't remember much about the circumstances of the hike. I do remember we were in awe of it all though and couldn't wait to get back. This was my first exposure to beautifully colored and big lizards too.
I think she ended up moving away or something; I'm not sure. Anyway, I would drag my brother and niece with me and eventually my other brother this same year twice. I pretty much stayed with casual hiking coming out here a couple times on my own, once bringing my mom (a total NON-hiker) and her friend and then a few trips to Fremont Saddle in the next year; until Kat took me under her wing in 2009 and then Wendy.
It seems I've some a long way now and I'm glad so thank you all for dragging me out.
I was going through all of my old photos from the last several decades as I'm loading them up to my Flickr site and I stumbled across this set with my old Sony digital camera. It's interesting to see the quality and I did edit back then too. |

For me, sometimes it's just as much about the journey as the destination.
Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled. |
